THANK YOU!

Thank you all so much for the amazing end of the year gifts!  I feel very blessed. It was a wonderful year together.  Hope to see many of you at Awards Night this Monday, June 27th at 7pm.  Your child will sit with you until they are asked to line up for their awards.  This is also a non-uniform night and report cards may be picked up at the Grade One table at the end of the night.  Happy Summer!!!  :)

Concert this Tuesday

Just a reminder that the students are performing in the K-8 concert this Tuesday, June 14th at 7pm.  Please bring them to our classroom no earlier that 6:30pm dressed in their spring uniforms.  They will be up front and not sitting with you during this performance.  See you there!  :)

Teams for Sports Day

This year is a Canucks theme for Sports Day and the team colours are:   (also posted on our door and written in planners)

Blue - Aiden, Aislyn, Amelia, Cara, Ella, Elvis, Hannah, Hyewon

Green - Jackson, Jacob, Jared, Joseph, Julia, Calvin, Keziah, Kloe

White/Silver/Gray - Maria, Mateo, Nicholas, Rocco, Sarah, Taelor, Troy, Yang

Your child may come wearing their team colour tomorrow.  The day starts at 8:20 in our room and Sports Day activities will run from 9-12. The money I received for hot lunch orders was handed in today so please send a packed lunch if you didn't order hot dogs.  Dismissal is at 1:10. 

Jersey Days

Mr. Harris informed the kids today that they may wear their jerseys on all game days. 

Icecream party still on Thursday, June 16th

Ah, flexibility.  So I was told this morning that "Skip Ahead Day" needed to be changed again and will now not conflict with our original time for the icecream party.  Soooooo, the times and dates posted on our classroom door are correct for everything.  Our class icecream party will still be on Thursday, June 16th from 2:00-2:30.  :)

Change of Date for Icecream Party

So sorry to have to do this but I was just told yesterday that "Skip Ahead Day" (when the students jump up to Grade 2 for half an hour) can only be on Thursday, June 16th during the time I'd scheduled our icecream party.  Sooooooo,  it will have to be on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15TH FROM 2:00-2:30.  I know many of you are juggling schedules from your other children in the school so I hope this isn't a conflict.  It's just that time of year.  :/

Schedule for June

Friday June 3 - It's our turn to host the last chapel of the year.  We'll be doing some of the songs and poems that we've learned in class.  Come join us from 11:20-11:50 in the music room. 

Wednesday June 8th - Beach Day from 10-2.  Permission forms went out last week.  Send a lunch and sand toys.

Thursday June 9th - Last library class.  Please return all books for the year. 

Friday June 10th - Sports Day.  I'll post details when I received them.  Early dismissal at 1:10. 

Tuesday June 14th - K-8 Concert in the evening in the gym.  Details to follow. 

Thursday June 16th - Class icecream party from 2:00-2:30.  I'll post a list of toppings to sign-up for on our door.  Come join us!   Siblings are welcome.  :)

Friday June 17th - Presentation of scrapbooks.  Come to our room from 12:40-1:10 as we have our "Classroom Closing Ceremonies".  Early dismissal. 

Monday June 27th - Awards Night in the gym at 7pm.  Students will receive their "Character Award" and "Bible Memory Award".  Sit with parents until class is called to line up along the wall.  Non-uniform.  Students often dress up.  Report card pick-up.  Happy summer!  :)
